Masato Tomobe is a Japanese singer and poet. He started songwriting after being inspired by Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone". He has collaborated with Sakamoto Ryuichi, and together they recorded "A Gossipy Crow", among other songs. He was a friend of Dave Van Ronk and together they recorded "Candyman",a song of Reverend Gary Davis. He also is known for trying many styles, including poetry reading style and Talking blues.
