Maurice Arthur Pope, C.B., M.C. (9 August 1889 - 20 September 1978) was a Canadian civil engineer, army officer and diplomat. Born in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec, the son of Sir Joseph Pope, Prime Minister John A. Macdonald's principal secretary, and grandson of Sir Henri-Thomas Taschereau and William Henry Pope, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from McGill University in 1911. Wikipedia
