Maurits ("Maus") Gatsonides (1911-02-14-1998-11-29) was a Dutch rally driver and inventor. Maus Gatsonides was born in Gombong on the island Java in the former Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia). Today, Gatsonides' fame largely results from inventing the Gatsometer ("Gatso"), a speed measuring device used today by many police forces around the world to reliably catch drivers who are speeding.
