Professor Mehdi Golshani (born 1939 in Isfahan, Iran) is a contemporary Iranian theoretical physicist and philosopher. He received his B.Sc. in Physics from Tehran University in 1959 and his Ph.D. in Physics with a specialization in particle physics in 1969 from the University of California, Berkeley. The title of his doctoral dissertation is "Electron impact excitation of heavily ionized atoms". Wikipedia
