Michael Jace (born July 13, 1970, in Paterson, New Jersey) is an African-American actor. He currently appears as LAPD Officer Julien Lowe in the FX drama "The Shield". In the earlier seasons, Officer Lowe, a deeply religious man, was conflicted about his sexuality and had a brief relationship with another man. Since then he has married.
