Michael Krasnow (April 27 1969-October 9 1997) was a man afflicted with classical, severe anorexia nervosa. His case was unusual because of his gender; male anorectics are much less common than female anorexics, particularly when the disorder is severe and does not have a simple underlying factor such as abuse.
