Michael Lynch is, since 2002, chief executive of the South Bank Centre, London's pre-eminent collection of venues for music and art on the south bank of the Thames. It includes the Royal Festival Hall, (undergoing major refurbishment in 2005-7), the Queen Elizabeth Hall, the Purcell Room and the Hayward Gallery.
