Michael Stephen "Mike" Clark was a popular newspaper columnist in the 1970s and 1980s. Mr. Clark wrote for the "Commercial Appeal", a Memphis newspaper. In 1981, he was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for writing a series of exposés about the influence of the Moral Majority and the Christian Right in the United States Republican Party.
