Mike Royce was born in Syracuse, New York. He attended Jamesville-Dewitt High School and Ithaca College. From 1988 to 1999, he was a standup comedian in New York City. For many years, he was also a warmup comedian for such shows as The Maury Povich Show, Viva Variety, and Spin City. In 1997, he was one of the writers of MTV's Apt 2F, which starred Jason Sklar and Randy Sklar. In 1999, he joined the writing staff of Everybody Loves Raymond. Wikipedia
