Miljenko Smoje (February 23, 1923 - October 22, 1995) was a Croatian writer and journalist. Smoje was born in Split in a family of poor labourers. The neighbourhood where he grew up was known for its traditional support for anarchism, socialism and other left-wing ideologies.
