Nancy Christy was the first woman (May 8, 2003) to win the top ($1,000,000) prize on the United States game show "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire". She was the second contestant to win the top prize on the syndicated version hosted by Meredith Vieira. Christy is a middle-school teacher from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
