Norman Rufus Colin Cohn, (born in London 12 January 1915) is a British academic, historian and writer, now Emeritus Professor at the University of Sussex. Born into a Jewish family in London, Cohn was educated at Gresham's School and Christ Church, Oxford. He was a scholar and research student at Christ Church between 1933 and 1939, then served for six years in the British Army from 1939.
