I was born on January 29, 1954 in Kosciusko, Mississippi. I have been privileged in my life to receive the honor of Nashvilleâs Miss Fire Prevention when I was in my teen years. I also was named Miss Black Tennessee and attended college at Tennessee State University. I started my career as a news broadcaster in Baltimore as a co-anchor.
