Oscar Eduardo Alende (born 6 July 1909 in Maipú, Buenos Aires province – died 22 December 1996) was an Argentine politician who founded the Intransigent Party. Alende studied medicine at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, where he led the student union, and the University of Buenos Aires. He became head of gastro-intestinal surgery in the Hospital Rawson and a member of the Argentine Surgical Academy. Wikipedia
