Parley Parker Christensen (July 17, 1868-February 10, 1954) served as councilman on the Los Angeles City Council from 1935 until 1937 and then from 1939 to 1949. He was the candidate for President of the United States for the Farmer-Labor Party in 1920. He was also an early active Esperantist, and in 1920-22 travelled around the world using the language.
