Patrick Ortlieb (born May 17, 1967 in Bregenz) is an Austrian former alpine skier who won a gold medal at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville. Ortlieb started skiing relatively late at the age of 13. A downhill specialist, he won this event at the 1992 Winter Olympics, gathered 18 medals at World Cup races, and became World Champion in 1996 in downhill.
