Paul Bailey (born 16 February 1937) is a British writer. He originally worked as an actor before becoming a full time writer in 1967. He won a number of fellowships in the 1970s, and served as a visiting lecturer at North Dakota State University from 1977 to 1979. He won the E. M. Forster Award in 1974, and the George Orwell Prize in 1978. He is currently a writer in residence at Kingston University. Wikipedia
