Paul Faure is a French archaeologist. He was born in Paris in 1916 and graduated from École normale supérieure. In 1967, he became professor of Greek language and civilization at the University Blaise Pascal at Clermont-Ferrand. He eventually became Doctor Honoris Causa at the University of Athens.
