Paul David Simpson (born 26 July 1966) is the current manager of Football League Championship team Preston North End, having been named as the successor to the departing Billy Davies on June 16, 2006. Simpson managed Carlisle United football club to the Football League Two Championship in the 2005/2006 season, a second successive promotion following Carlisle's promotion from the Nationwide Conference in 2004/2005.
