Peter Spencer Bowness, Baron Bowness CBE DL (b. 19 May 1943) is a British Conservative politician and member of the House of Lords. Bowness was educated at Whitgift School, South Croydon and the Law Society School of Law and College of Law. He began work as a solicitor in 1966. Peter Bowness became a councillor and soon rose within Conservative Party ranks, becoming Leader of Croydon Council, London's largest borough. Wikipedia
