Peter John Sinfield (born on December 27, 1943 in Fulham Palace Road, Fulham, South-west London, England) is most famously known as the lyricist for early incarnations of King Crimson. He contributed to "In the Court of the Crimson King", "In the Wake of Poseidon", "Lizard" and "Islands", which he also produced. After being asked to leave the band by Robert Fripp after four albums, Sinfield continued to be active in the progressive rock scene. Wikipedia
