Phillips Idowu (born on December 30, 1978 in Hackney, London) is an English triple jumper. He won the silver medal at the 2002 Commonwealth Games, setting a new personal best of 17.68 during the contest but was beaten by world record holder Jonathan Edwards. Later that year he placed 5th in the European Championships. Four years later, he once again finished 5th place at the 2006 European Championships in Athletics. Wikipedia
