Pierre Franey (1921-October 15, 1996) is known for his 60 Minute Gourmet column for "The New York Times". Franey grew up in Northern Burgundy, France. He stayed in the United States at the outbreak of World War II where he worked at the French Pavillion for the 1939 New York World's Fair.
