Preeti Desai (born 29 September 1981) is a model and current Miss Great Britain 2006. A British Indian, she was born in Middlesbrough to Jitu and Hema Desai. She attended St Augustine RC primary school in Coulby Newham, then Nunthorpe Secondary School. After leaving school she did a three year course in Hair and Beauty at Middlesbrough College.
