This is a community of Asian Americans who are pro-choice. Roe v. Wade, which established that abortions are a constitutional right, was determined on January 22, 1973. The votes were cast by the Supreme Court 7-2 in favor of legalization--with Rhenquist as one of the dissenters. With the retirement of Justice William Brennan and Thurgood Marshall, both Roe supporters, George H. W. Bush was able to appoint two new justices to take their positions.
