Rachel Treichler, 55, was the Green Party candidate for Attorney General of New York in 2006. She has practiced law in New York since 1982 and lives in Hammondsport. In 2002, Treichler ran for Congress as the Green Party candidate for the 29th congressional district. In the 2002 Congressional election, she received 2.3% of the vote, losing to Republican Amo Houghton. She lost the 2006 Attorney General election to Democrat Andrew Cuomo.
