Rafael Benítez Maudes is a Spanish football manager and former player. Also referred to as Rafa Benítez or sometimes Rafa he has been manager of Liverpool F.C. since June 2004. On June 2 2006, Benítez signed a new 4 year deal with Liverpool. He has previously managed Valencia CF and five other La Liga teams.
