Richard Burbage (July 7, 1568 - March 13 1619) was an actor and theatre owner. He was the younger brother of Cuthbert Burbage. Burbage came from a poor family and was a popular actor by his early 20s. His early acting career is poorly documented. It has been suggested that it included a stint in the Earl of Leicester's company, but there is no good evidence for this.
