Richard Darwin Keynes CBE FRS (born 14 August 1919) is a British physiologist. Keynes (pronounced "Canes") was born in London, the eldest son of Geoffrey Keynes, and thus the nephew of the economist John Maynard Keynes. His mother, Elizabeth (née Darwin) was the daughter of the astronomer George Howard Darwin and the grand-daughter of Charles Darwin.
