Robert Alastair Addie was an English actor who was best known for playing Sir Guy of Gisburne in the television series "Robin of Sherwood". He was educated at Marlborough College leaving at 16 to join the National Youth Theatre. He left there in 1978 to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), which, in turn, he left in 1980, to appear in John Boorman’s film "Excalibur" as Mordred.
