Robert Allen (February 5, 1928-October 1, 2000) was a pianist and an arranger and writer of music for popular songs. He was born in Troy, New York.He had two daughters (Diana, Katie) who grew up in New Rochelle. He was an accompanist for Perry Como, Peter Lind Hayes, and Arthur Godfrey. Many of his compositions were collaborations with lyricist Al Stillman.One of his most famous songs was "There's No Place Like Home For The Holidays". Wikipedia
