Robert Edwin Lee (October 15, 1918 - July 8, 1994), was an American playwright and lyricist. He is best known for two collaborations with Jerome Lawrence, "Inherit the Wind" (1955) and "Auntie Mame" (1956). Lee wrote using the name Robert E. Lee. Lee was from Elyria, Ohio.
