Robert Manry (born June 2, 1918 - died February 21, 1971) was a 1949 graduate of Antioch College where he and fellow students where encouraged to be informed risk takers. It was a risk that Manry took as a 47-year-old copy editor on the Cleveland Plain Dealer who in 1965 sailed from Falmouth, Massachusetts to Falmouth, Cornwall, England in a tiny 13.5 foot (4 m) sailboat called Tinkerbelle.
