Dr. Romesh Batra is a Professor in Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics at Virginia Tech. He has made contributions to Continuum Mechanics and Nonlinear Elasticity and has published over 220 journal articles widely read and reputed referred journals. He was born in India and completed his bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from University of Punjab in 1968 where he won the "Gold Medal" for being first in three states. Wikipedia
