Rudolf (Rezső) Kastner (Kasztner), also known as Israel (Yisrael) Kastner was the "de facto" head of a small Jewish organization in Budapest known as the "Va'adat Ezrah Vehatzalah" ("Vaada"), or Aid and Rescue Committee, during the Nazi occupation of Hungary during World War II.
