Ruqaiyyah Waris Maqsood, a British Muslim author, served as Head of Religious Studies at William Gee High School, Hull, England. Her original name is Rosalynn Rushbrook She married poet George Morris Kendrick in 1964 and then had a son and daughter, but later divorced.
