Manchester United's Ryan Giggs became an Ambassador for UNICEF UK in August 2006 in recognition of his personal support for the organisation's work with children. On tour in South Africa in July 2006 Ryan learnt about the major challenges faced by the nation's children including HIV/AIDS and violence.
