Ryan Theriot (born December 7, 1979 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana), His last name is pronounced "Terry-OH". He played college baseball at Louisiana State University and is an infielder for the Chicago Cubs. A natural shortstop, Theriot has also played backup third base, second base, and right field for the Cubs. On September 17, 2006, Theriot hit two home runs in a game versus the Cincinnati Reds.
