Sahar Khalifa is a Palestinian writer born in 1942 in Nablus of the West Bank. After teaching at the university of Birzeit, in the Palestinian occupied territories, she studied Anglo-Saxon literature in the US, at the University of Iowa, before returning to Palestine in 1988. There she founded - and runs todate - the Center for Feminine Studies. She is considered as one of the most prominent Palestinian writers. Wikipedia
