Salman Butt (born 7 October, 1984 in Lahore, Pakistan) is a cricketer who plays as a left-handed batsman. He plays as an Opening batsman, largely because of his ability to both bat for long periods of time, and build solid innings that other batsmen can utilize. He played in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup and also toured South Africa with the Pakistan Academy team, scoring 233 runs against the South African Academy team.
