Sam Ashton (born October 9, 1985) is a young goalkeeper currently playing for English non-league side F.C. United of Manchester having previously played for Bolton Wanderers. On January 7, 2006, Ashton was named as the substitute keeper for Bolton's FA Cup 3rd round tie against Watford, but came on for the last few minutes of the match as a striker, replacing Jared Borgetti.
