Sara Shane was the stage name of Elaine Hollingsworth (née Sterling) (born 1926-05-18 in St. Louis, Missouri). An actress in film and television in the 1950s and early 1960s, she left acting in 1964 to go into business. Elaine married William Hollingsworth in 1949, and they divorced in 1957.
