Scott Halpin enjoyed fifteen minutes of fame – quite literally – on November 20, 1973. The Who were opening their “Quadrophenia” concert tour at the Cow Palace in suburban San Francisco, and Halpin, a 19-year-old who’d recently moved to the area from Muscatine, Iowa, was there with a friend and the tickets they’d scalped.
