was a Japanese military officer in the Guandong Army. Seishiro Itagaki was born into a family that were former samurai retainers of the Nanbu clan of Morioka han. He graduated from the Imperial Japanese Army Academy in 1904. He fought in the Russo-Japanese War in 1904-05. He was the commanding officer of the 33rd Regiment in China. As a Japanese military officer in the Kwantung Army from 1929 to 1934, he planned the 1931 Mukden Incident along with Kanji Ishiwara. Wikipedia
