Seymour Roger Cray (September 28, 1925 - October 5, 1996) was a U.S. electrical engineer and supercomputer architect who founded the company Cray Research. Cray was born in 1925 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. His father was a civil engineer who fostered Cray's interest in science and engineering.
