Shavar Thomas (born January 29, 1981 in Hannah Town, Jamaica) is a Jamaican footballer who currently plays for Chivas USA of Major League Soccer. Thomas played as a youth for Hazard United F.C. in Jamaica and at The Hotchkiss School in Lakeville, Ct. He played went on to play college soccer at the University of Connecticut. He played two seasons, 2001 and 2002, and was named an NSCAA second team All-American his sophomore year. Wikipedia
