Shiva Rose McDermott, née Afshar, is an actress of Iranian and Irish descent. Since 19th November 1995, she has been married to American actor Dylan McDermott. In 1995, Shiva Rose met her husband in a coffee-shop near Santa Monica, California. McDermott has been quoted as saying that he heard a whisper to "look" once he was inside and that for him, it was love at first sight.
