Solomy Balungi Bossa was born in Kampala Uganda in 1957 and after her Degree course at Makerere University in 1979, she pursued a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. She went on to become the first female president of the Uganda Law Society and was also the founder President of the East African Law Society between 1995 and 1997.
