Spliff Star (born William A. Lewis) first appeared alongside Busta Rhymes as the Flipmode Squad in 1996 on his album "The Coming". His name is an obvious derivation of smoking cannabis. Spliff is of Jamaican origin graduated from Franklin & Marshall in 1996 majoring in communications, this accomplishment helped him find success in the music industry.
