Steve Osborn, of LaPorte, Indiana, was the 2006 Libertarian nominee for US Senate from Indiana. He lost to Dick Lugar on the November ballot. He was Lugar's only opponent in that election, because the Democratic Party and other parties did not run candidates against this very popular senator. Osborn received 13% of the vote, the best result for a libertarian running for the Senate in the 2006 elections. Steve Osborn is an amateur radio operator.
